LIT & Youth Coordinator

Part of the Knox Camp Lead Team, the LIT & Youth Camp Coordinator is a team leader who advocates for and oversees all aspects of the LIT Program (ages 14-16) and Youth program (ages 12-14) at Knox Camps. The LIT and Youth Camp Coordinator will plan and lead the LIT (leader-in-training) program which takes place during Leader training week and the first week of camp. After training LITs, the LIT and Youth Camp Coordinator will run the Youth Program while still being available to assist in the administrative side of the LIT program. Able to multi-task, the LIT and Youth Camp Coordinator is mature, innovative, organized, personable and accountable. The LIT and Youth Camp Coordinator reports to & is supported by the Camp Director.

Program Coordinator

Part of the Knox Camp Lead Team, the Program Coordinators are creative people who plan and oversee all aspects of the themes and the program for every week of camp and help camp run smoothly. They are primarily responsible for the creation and organization of station activities and afternoon activities including field trips and skits / instructionals. 

Program Coordinators are creative, good at working in a team, skilled creative writers, and outgoing. Coordinators report to & are supported by the Camp Director.

Squad Leader

Squad Leaders are part of the ‘front line’ of Knox Camp — in charge of loving and caring for campers. They are enthusiastic and creative in co- leading squads of up to 12 campers, cultivating a camp environment that is formative, fun and memorable. Squad leaders report to and are supported by the Camp Director.

Other Ways to Help Make Camp Happen

  • Our LIT program is a fantastic training opportunity for teens who are beyond the age of youth camp, and not yet 17. Generally, our LITs are entering grade 10 and 11.

  • We're always looking for adults to join us during the week, either teaching a skill, helping individual campers, or assisting with activities.

    A valid police check is required for all our staff and volunteers over 16. To apply to volunteer, email camp@knoxtoronto.org.
